NorthStar Macro is designed to support educational financial scenario modelling while keeping user-entered financial/profile data local on the device.
Who operates NorthStar Macro?
NorthStar Macro is operated by Tomcom Limited.

User-entered data
NorthStar Macro stores user-entered financial/profile data locally on the device.
This may include goal inputs, portfolio/account values, risk appetite, capacity for loss, time horizon, contributions, fee assumptions, selected scenarios and saved scenarios.
External transmission
NorthStar Macro does not send user-entered financial/profile values to analytics, feedback forms, or external market/economic data APIs.
External market/economic data providers receive only fixed data requests, such as economic or market series identifiers and date/range parameters. They may receive normal technical network information, such as IP address, but they do not receive the financial/profile values entered into the app.
Analytics
Analytics is currently configured as a no-op and does not include user-entered financial/profile values.
Feedback and support
Feedback forms do not pre-fill financial/profile data. If a user chooses to submit feedback or email support, the message they write will leave their device.
Users should not include sensitive financial information in feedback or support emails.
Local storage and backups
User-entered data is stored locally in app storage. Local app storage is not described as encrypted.
The app is configured so Android app backup is disabled and iOS AsyncStorage is excluded from iCloud backup where supported.
Data reset
Users can remove locally stored app data by using reset/delete options in the app where available, or by deleting the app from their device.
Children
NorthStar Macro is not intended for children.
